Grading is making the basic pattern larger and smaller, so that it is available in any desired size. This happens after digitizing or developing the 1st pattern.
The gradation is ultimately the "fitting" of the model and thus an important feature of the brand, because with this we determine for which target group the models are designed. Trousers with, for example, a very skinny fitting will obviously only have a good fit for a specific target group.
The gradation is entered on the basis of a size table, these values are also saved with the model and can later also be adjusted again after, for example, through which the produced models are actually fitted in the various sizes.
